What is the difference between a “movie” and a “film?” You’ll almost never hear someone call Citizen Kane a “movie” or refer to Ghostbusters as a “film” but why is that? Rob, Pete, Ian and Tony feel the exploration of the subjective interpretations of these differences deserves – nay demands – a platform. More than a platform even… a podcast!
Film or Movie is a different kind of cinema review show, one best listened to after you’ve already seen the movie (or film). A post-mortem, if you will, where we ask two big questions: is it art (Film) or entertainment (Movie) and what are the motion pictures merits? Our panel “pairs” a current release with an older title that we feel compliments, or enhances, the viewing of the newbie. Does the older flick hold up? Does the new one deserve your time or money and, crucially, are they Films or Movies?
